What is Success by Six?
A Great Start for Swanton Kids! Our goal is to help families provide their children with a
healthy beginning and success upon entry to school. Local communities throughout
Vermont design projects, plan events and coordinate resources to address needs of families
in their towns. Schools, churches and businesses pitch in to help get projects and
special events off the ground. For more information visit Franklin County Success by Six website.
Come Play With Us! Swanton has "Welcome Little One" and "Off to School" activities- but that's not all!
Throughout the year we sponsor playgroups
and other special programs and events for children. Perhaps there's a Family celebration,
a Teddy Bear Brunch or a Water Babies class coming soon. Please check our Swanton Kid Calendar as well as the Franklin County Early Childhood Calendar to
see a current listing of events.
Tell us what you think. This site was created
by your Swanton SX6 committee to inform Swanton families and caregivers of activities and
resources for young children ages birth to six. We hope this site will promote
communication and cooperation between local organizations and citizens serving young
children and families through our "Swanton Kid
Calendar" and "Resources &
Hyperlinks". We encourage you to use this site to give us your feedback on
current SX6 programs and share suggestions for new local activities or register to receive
our mailings.
Join us! Check the banner on our home page for our next
scheduled meeting held in Swanton. We typically meet once a month. Come
share your ideas or lend a hand for the next upcoming
event. Contact Betsy Fournier @868-4658 (or email her) or Grace Parenteau @868-5670 (or email her) to find out more about
joining our dedicated team of Swanton Community members.
Got a talent or special skill? Consider sharing your
interests, talents, and skills with Swanton parents and children by offering to teach a
workshop, lead a playgroup, teach a dance class, host a tea party... Together we can
help support Swanton families with young children. |
